A protest by several left-wing professors against the University of Wyoming’s school slogan seems to have backfired on them.

UW decided in 2018 that its new slogan would be, “The world needs more cowboys.”

About two dozen leftist professors blasted the decision, saying the term “cowboy” had racist, sexist, homophobic and genocidal undertones.

But the school didn’t back down, and their decision to keep the slogan paid off.

The Wall Street Journal reports the university bookstore sold out of “the world needs more cowboys” T-shirts in one week, a video featuring the slogan had a half million views, and even enrollment numbers have gone up.
