Facebook came under fire recently after it covered up a posting of a picture of Santa Claus kneeling before the Baby Jesus, warning viewers that the photo and its accompanying poem "may show violent or graphic content.”

Life Site News reports Facebook’s policy says that some content is covered with a warning level so that “people are aware of the graphic or violent nature of a post before they click to see it.”

Since the story first reported by Life Site went viral, the image has been restored and is no longer being censored on Facebook.

There has been no comment by the social media giant as to why it was originally deemed to be “violent and graphic content."
