Chris Stigall opens the show with live coverage of the mid-air collision over Washington D.C. between a commercial airline and a military helicopter.

President Donald Trump is demanding accountability in what appeared to be an avoidable accident.

"Trump is clear that this is not something that should have happened," Stigall said. "I was kind of struck fast that we have not seen an aviation death domestically in 16 years, would you have believed that stat? Because, that's a true stat. I heard somebody share that this morning on cable news. 16 years it's been since we lost someone in commercial aviation domestically."
