Dustin Nickersons bit on age and finances is comedy gold. The popular funnyman shares what hes learned and experienced in terms of age, clothing and money. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear what Dustin has to say about money, aging, and clothes.
Money is, without a doubt, a necessity, and thats a statement that no one can argue with or against. Its absolutely needed in order to survive in this world, and anyone who thinks or says otherwise is incredibly nave.
Additionally, money often makes people uncomfortable whenever it comes up during a discussion. Why? Many people have a nasty habit of making people who dont make this or that amount of money feel as if they are less than. People always equate money with status, class, intelligence and a whole host of other things that may or may not be correct.
One way people like to show off their wealth is through their clothing. If they are wearing an item from this designer or that line, well, then they must have money. On the other hand, those who are wearing old, ratty and worn clothes must be struggling financially. In both instances, people are judging others simply by their looks, something superficial and meaningless. In a clip posted on YouTube, Dustin explains how he has experienced this.
They will worry about you, he said. Like, I love to thrift shop, love it so much. Its my favorite thing to do. And in your 20s, people are like, Oh, thats cool. Dustins thirty, and kind of an eccentric.
He goes on to explain how other people change how they respond to you about your clothes when you get older, specifically when you reach your 30s, and are wearing similar clothes.
And then in your 30s, theyre like, Dustin lost his job, alright. We got to put him on a prayer list, alright, he added.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: and some whose hearts were fixed on it have been turned away from the faith, and been wounded with unnumbered arrows.
